The fourth Sunday of the 53rd Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) saw Staten Island, New York resident William “swaggyb” Corvino (cover image – left) decimating the 1,248-entry field in Online Event #5: $600 Online Deepstack Championship to collect his first WSOP gold bracelet and a career-best $149,319. Czechia’s Pavel “easygame1” Plesuv finished runner-up for $92,350.36.

According to his Hendon Mob profile, Corvino has $384,305 in recorded live tournament earnings. He had won a WSOP circuit ring in March 2020 in the 2019/20 WSOP Circuit – WSOP.COM Super Circuit Series (Online Circuit) Event #12: $215 NLHE for $40,512. This was his 85th time cashing a bracelet event, which boosted his WSOP tally to $425,007.

India’s Yudhishter “yud10” Jaswal (cover image – right) was one of the nine players on the FT and finished fifth for $36,415 (~₹28.59 Lakhs), recording his first score in the ongoing series and the second FT finish by an Indian this year. This was his 18th WSOP score, which improved his lifetime WSOP earnings to $186,301.

The $600 buy-in event collected a $938,520 prize pool and ran for nearly 13 hours. The top 289 places were paid, with a min-cash worth $845.

Dan “bashpup1961” Schmiech was the first player to be eliminated on the final table in ninth place after his failed to catch up against Pavel “easygame1” Plesuv’s .

Seven minutes later, Taylor “ReadyGambo” Black fell out in eighth place after his ran into Jesse “Patient0” Yaginuma’s .

Soon after that, Jeremiah “freestylerr” Williams bowed out in seventh place when his couldn`t get past Nicolas “Zskrrrrt” Zolofra’s [d].

After Williams, Jesse “Patient0” Yaginuma crashed out in sixth place. He moved all-in with but found no help against Alex “SunDSolar” Soares’s .

Fifteen minutes later, the lone Indian player on the FT, Yudhishter “yud10” Jaswal, was sent to the rail. In a battle between blinds, Nicolas “Zskrrrrt” Zolofra moved all-in from the small blind with . The short-stacked Jaswal called off with , putting his tournament life on the line. The board ran , and Zolofra took down the pot, ending Jaswal`s bracelet run in fifth place.

Just a few minutes later, Nicolas “Zskrrrrt” Zolofra was sent packing in fourth place. He was all-in with , but unfortunately for him, Pavel “easygame1” Plesuv woke up with and took over his stack.

The quick pace of eliminations continued, and Alex “SunDSolar” Soares was the next to fall third place. His found no help against William “swaggyb” Corvino’s .

Entering the heads-up match, William “swaggyb” Corvino (34,291,499) held a 2:1 chip lead over Pavel “easygame1” Plesuv (17,848,501). In the last hand of the event, Plesuv shoved with and Corvino limped called with . The board gave Corvino a pair of kings for the win!
